Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks is a television special that originally aired in Japan on February 24, 1993. It is a part of the Dragon Ball Z anime series and is set in an alternate future timeline where Goku dies from a heart virus and the Z-Fighters are killed by the androids created by Dr. Gero. The special follows the story of Trunks, the son of Vegeta and Bulma, as he trains with Gohan to become strong enough to defeat the androids and save the future.
